Alright. For those who don’t know, I love hip-hop/rap. I actually do it myself & I’m pretty good at it… No. I’m really good it. Anyway, I want to do it for a living & I plan on pursuing it this summer. It’ll be a big journey in life & I’m excited to see where it takes me. But! There’s a problem. I really hate school. Nah. I REALLY HATE school. It just isn’t for me so I’ve had my mind set on not going back &, for some reason, that’s put a few people’s panties in a bunch. They say they support me but ask questions like, “What if you don’t make it?” or stuff of that nature & that bothers me. For one, I want to do something I love for a living & music is what I LOVE. Why wouldn’t I, or anyone for that matter, want to make a career out of something I love? Second, and more importantly, if you support me, don’t ask dumb questions like that. That means you doubt me, even though you might not intend to do so. I mean. I KNOW I’m taking a HUGE risk by doing what I plan on doing but, in life, you have to do the shit the next motherfucker is afraid to do to get to places the next motherfucker won’t see cause he or she won’t take those risks. Am I nervous? A little. Do I know I’m going to be laughed at & talked about?? Of course. Will I use it as motivation?? God damn right, I will. I’ve got to believe in myself before others can believe in me & I know I can do it. It just takes time & a constant grind, which I have both of. I’m just ready to make my dreams a reality & it’s about that time. And when I get to where I want to be at? I’ll just smile & keep it moving. Oh. And I’ll gladly say, “I told you so.” Can’t wait for that day to happen.
